Green with Envy

August 14, 2013 by Kara 1 Comment

As I mentioned on Friday, we were scraping our master bedroom ceiling this past weekend. So guess what? We also decided to paint the walls while we were at it. I wanted a grey room yet again, but the hubs said no more grey (we don’t even have a grey wall in the house yet!). We both loved the green that was in the master bedroom at our condo, but had no clue what color it was or where it came from, but that was a starting point. A green bedroom.

I liked the idea since I was painting most of our furniture an off-white color, I thought it would pop against a nice soft, muted green. We weren’t sure though if we wanted something a little darker, richer with more blue undertones or lighter, with more yellow undertones.

The rest of our color scheme was another good starting point though (all Benjamin Moore colors):Master bedroom accent colors

As I shared in an earlier post, our furniture is white dove. The plan for the bathroom is revere pewter (or a very similar grey), so I wanted the choice of green to flow well with the bathroom. And finally, the bedroom will have gold accents and possibly some rust/dark red accents.

Here are some of the greens we’ve been mulling over (again, all Benjamin Moore colors):

Stay tuned to see what color we chose and why, but in the meantime, can you make a guess??? 🙂

Well, since I haven’t actually seen it in person I can only venture a guess, so I’m gonna say… pistachio or kittery point!
