Disney Fantasy | Eastern Caribbean | Europa District

June 17, 2013 by Kara 2 Comments

Starting at mid-ship and heading aft on Deck 4, you will pass through the second level of the Atrium, through Shutters (where you can peruse any photos taken of you during the cruise) and breeze by D-Lounge (the family oriented entertainment area) to this hallway leading to all of the fun adults-only areas.
Europa-entrance
The entrance to the adults-only (mostly) entertainment area will take you to a collection of brightly colored, whimsical, themed-out bars, clubs and lounges for the 18 and over crowd. P.S. There is also an entrance by the Aft elevators if you don’t want to walk through the ship to get here. Also, when I say mostly, I mean at certain times areas are open to anyone under 18. O’Gills is always adults-only though!
Europa-districtLa Piazza is the Italian inspired lounge that greets you upon entering and is the hub to all of the other areas within Europa, you know, like a piazza. 😉 La-Piazza
In the center of the room is a carousel-shaped bar complete with saddle barstools. Along the wall encircling the bar in this round space is comfy booth seating and a small stage for daily performances.

Immediately adjacent to your right is O’Gill’s Pub, an irish-themed sports bar, featuring a drink menu filled with Irish coffee, Guinness Stout, scotch and whiskey.
O'Gill's-Entrance
It felt very manly inside – dark wood, emerald greens, beams on the ceiling.
O'Gill's-Pub
Since March madness was in full swing on our cruise, they broadcast all of the games here for anyone interested.
O'Gill's
If you walk through O’Gill’s, you’ll arrive at Skyline Lounge, a cozy little bar where the “window” scenes change to different city skylines throughout the night.

On the other side of La Piazza down the hall is Ooh La La – a frilly champagne bar. Inspired by a French boudoir, Ooh La La is home to opulent, plush furniture, pink tufted walls and an ornate scrolled ceiling.

You can sink down into this massive velvet chaise.

Like my hubs.
Ooh-La-La-chaise-2
I love all the girly details in here. Crystal studded velvet tufted walls…
Ooh-La-La-wall
And flower light fixtures on the ornate ceiling.

The Tube is the last and the largest club in Europa. Reminiscent of the London underground subway system, the Tube is the Disney Fantasy’s dance club and it even featured an illuminated Union Jack in the dance floor. Each night either featured an adult entertainer or a special guest DJ – be assured this is where the night-owls partied late into the evening (be assured – that was not us – we were always pretty tuckered out by the time dinner ended since we had the late seating). And what a fun atmosphere to party in!
Above the circular bar is a giant clock to remind you of Big Ben. The carpeting, intended to resemble a subway map, is dotted with British colloquialisms like “Jolly Good,” and “Cheers!”
The-Tube
Comfy benches along the wall even had poles and straps like those you might cling onto when taking a subway ride.
The-Tube-Rem
The Imagineer behind Europa, particularly all of the details in the Tube, really outdid themselves.
