March 4, 2012 by Kara 1 Comment

Tales from the Top

October 6, 2011 by Kara 1 Comment

Well, while I’m holed up at the house with some “head crud” as the doctor called it, I may as well get this blog done. Seasoned hikers know to prepare for varying weather conditions. It’s why we look silly when we roll out of the house dressed in layers and packing rain gear despite crystal…

Jones Wedding, June 25, 2011

September 17, 2011 by Kara Leave a Comment

Remington’s childhood friend, Hannah, got married on a very hot day at the end of June. The ceremony was outdoors at the UT Botanical Gardens, which were actually designed by Hannah’s late grandfather. The reception was held at BridgeView at the Boathouse. Lots of windows and great views of the river!

They invited us along for the ride, err hike, I should say and we graciously accepted being the mountain loving, hiking crazed fiends that we are. Hubs knows about every trail…

Last D.C. Blog: Birthday Dinner & Arlington

April 24, 2010 by Kara 1 Comment

Finally getting this up. Sorry for taking so long. My Birthday dinner was at this Italian restaurant, Tosca, near the White House. Expensive yes, but totally worth every penny. Delicious going down. Not so much coming back up when I got sick that night because I had some sort of bug, but still worth it….

>Capitol City Birthday Weekend Extravaganza: Day 2 Part 1

March 23, 2010 by Kara Leave a Comment

>On Friday, we did the touristy thing and took the Metro into the Smithsonian station. Cindy – being very Asian. Love her. Onto our first stop – the National Museum of Natural History. Everybody loves a little nature. Now for a respite from all the kiddos and because the rain had “let up,” we decided…
