I got a Chocolate Pie craving…

September 15, 2011 by Kara 1 Comment

So I made a chocolate pie that I happened to have all of the ingredients for. It turned out to be surprisingly delicious.

Heavenly Chocolate Berry Pie
recipe adapted from cooks.com
1 graham cracker crust
1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 Tbsp sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, pour into pie dish and smooth out with the back of a spoon or coffee cup. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup whipping cream
2 Tbsp butter
1 pt fresh raspberries, washed
1 pt fresh strawberries, washed and sliced

Melt chocolate either slowly over low heat or using a double boiler.
Beat together cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
Combine 2/3’s of the chocolate with cream cheese mixture.
Beat whipping cream in separate bowl until soft peaks form. Fold into mixture. Spoon into pie crust. Top with berries.
Melt remaining chocolate with butter. Drizzle over berries. Chill for 4-8 hours.

Yum YUM! I think this pie tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry and BONUS it’s pretty simple to make!

Few things in life are more delicious than the combination of strawberries and chocolate. Except maybe peanut butter and chocolate.
